PeeWee vs 12U Hybrid:

  • PeeWee is not a division option for Fall 2021 but will remain on this chart as a comparison to the 12U Hybrid division.
  • 12U Hybrid will have a maximum weight of 160 pounds in the division. Maximum ball carrier weight will be 135 pounds.
  • Weights will only be taken once during for the 12U Hybrid division at certification.
  • Increased weight allowance will not be accounted for in the 12U Hybrid division.

 Age:

  • A child's age on July 31st is his/her age for the season. 
  • The asterisked provisions in each division allow for the "older but lighter" player to also qualify. The last year of eligibility falls under more stringent weight restrictions. 
  • All players are encouraged to play down to the lowest competition level for which they are eligible.

Weight:

  • Tiny Mite/Rookie Tackle ages 5 and 6 years old will have unlimited weights for this age division.
  • Players will be weighed in at registration in the Spring and again at the team meeting in the Fall. If a player is four or more pounds over the weight limit for their division at the fall weigh-in, they will move up to the next division and be placed on another team.
  • In season, one additional pound per week is allowed, i.e. 1 lb. additional in weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, for a maximum of 4 lbs. There is one additional pound allowed at the Super Bowl.

Fundamental/Non-Competition Division (Tiny-Mite and Mighty-Mite Football Teams)

  • Participate in all tackle football games usually held on Saturday’s during the Season
  • Must commit to practices 2-3 days per week during the school year
  • May play in post-season Bowl Games

 

Competition DI and DII Divisions (Junior Pee Wee and Pee Wee Football Teams)

  • Participate in all tackle football games usually held on Saturday’s during the Season
  • Must commit to practices 3 days per week during the school year
  • May potentially compete at all 3 levels of competition: Hill Country Pop Warner, Southwest Region and National Championships
